Directions to The Addison
1. Departing Georgetown International Airport: Start your journey by exiting the airport and approaching the first roundabout. Take a left onto Queen’s Highway to commence your roughly 6-mile journey toward The Addison.
2. Navigating Roundabouts: As you venture along Queen’s Highway, you’ll encounter three additional roundabouts. Notable landmarks to guide you include the Sandals Resort and Grand Isle Resort & Marina. Continue straight through each roundabout, remaining on Queen’s Highway.
3. Locating Harts: After your passage past Grand Isle Resort & Marina, proceed for about 1 mile until you observe signage for Harts. This is your cue to stay attentive for your upcoming destination.
4. Final Stretch: Having passed the Harts sign, continue on Queen’s Highway for another .5 mile. The Addison is situated on the beach side of the road. A distinguishing feature to look out for is a white 2-car garage marked by striking blue doors.
5. Arrival: The Addison awaits your arrival on the right. If by any chance you find yourself at the very colorful Big D’s Conch Bar & Grill, you’ve gone slightly too far.

We love our animals. The Addison is actually named after our first yellow labrador retriever, but we do not allow pets.
Smoking is not allowed at The Addison.
We recommend renting a car to all of our guests. Taxis are available, but they can get expensive. The main thing to remember is that they drive on the left side of the road. We can provide rental car recommendations if requested.
The Bahamian dollar is the official currency. US dollars are accepted with the same value.
We highly recommend bringing cash – some restaurants and small shops only accept cash. Food stores, liquor stores, and most restaurants accept credit cards.
Yes, each guest room has a digital safe using your own private code.
We have Wi-Fi. The network name and password will be shared closer to your stay. There are TVs with Apple TV in the living room and both master bedrooms.
No See Ums are the most prevalent bug, but they only come out for about an hour at dusk and dawn. We recommend using bug spray or baby oil to keep them away. Keeping the doors and windows closed will also help reduce any issues with bugs.
Exuma has many wonderful bars and restaurants to experience. In fact, we have three bars spread out on our beach! Some of them do stay open late.
We have some terrific Bahamian chefs to enhance your culinary island experience.
Exuma has several good markets to choose from. Bowes Market is a small market that is a10 minutes from the house. They have most of the things you need. Island Prime Meats is about 20 minutes from the house and it is a fantastic butcher shop and market. Exuma Market is in downtown Georgetown and it is a wonderful grocery store similar to many you will find in the States. Lots of fresh produce and vegetables!

The Addison is located in Harts, Great Exuma. It is about a 6-mile drive from the Georgetown International Airport. Upon leaving the airport turn left at the first roundabout onto Queen’s Highway. Travel for approximately 6 miles. You will pass through (3) more roundabouts (Sandals & Grand Isle Resort & Marina). After passing Grand Isle you will travel about 1 mile until you see the sign for Harts. Once you see the sign for Harts continues on Queen’s Highway for another 1.2 miles. The Addison will be on the beach side. Look for the large white 2-car garage with blue garage doors. If you get to Big D’s Conch Bar & Grill, you went too far.
